Parents want the best early development for their child. Fortunately Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Cedar Park, Texas, provides an exceptional child care learning environment. We are extremely passionate about the care and well-being of every child. We are here to offer you some advice on what questions to ask a prospective child care provider. Here are two important factors that you should consider when selecting a child care facility for your child.
It is important to research whether the daycare, preschool or child care center offers an accredited program and curriculum. This will immediately alert you as to the quality of education and what your child can expect to learn from a daycare facility or preschool. It would be wise to look for a preschool or child care facility with external, voluntary accreditation, so you are confident that they are going the extra mile to ensure optimal early education. This should include physical, emotional, social and intellectual development. Do not settle for simple classroom learning, and find the center that offers you a comprehensive package.
An additional important factor is whether the daycare, preschool or child care facility follows safety protocols. These protocols cover everything from road safety, when getting off the bus, to safe sleeping protocols. This will also mean how safely the facility operates during a fire or medical emergency.
We provide our comprehensive early development programs and ensure that your child is both well cared for and kept safe at all times. Choose Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Cedar Park, Texas to provide your child with the best early cognitive development. Parents complain, “My child never wants to do chores!” Here is a secret that can entice your child to do anything with the right amount of encouragement: add a dash of imagination and a sprinkle of fun! Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Cedar Park, Texas, offers some ideas about how you can make household chores fun for your preschooler, and how you can ensure the fun is productive.
Household chores can be fun
Mundane tasks and activities can be made into exciting adventures with a small amount of imagination. For instance, picking up clothes from the bedroom floor. This activity can be made into a rescue operation where survivors are lost at sea and your preschooler needs to rescue them with the basket. You can convert almost any activity into a fun learning experience by using just a little creativity and engaging your child in the fun.
Learning through fun
Using a different example of putting away clothes, ask your child to return the clothing to its home. You can turn this into a learning experience by explaining that each different color or type of clothing belongs to a particular family and all family-members must live together. This will allow your child to begin differentiating between colors, sizes and even types of clothing, all while having fun and bonding with you.
The more creative you can be in engaging your child’s imagination, the more willing your child will be to get involved. Your child will be learning important daily skills without even realizing it.

Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Cedar Park works hard to promote brain development in young children, but this brain development should not just happen at preschool. Take a look at some activities to do at home that will support healthy brain development in preschoolers:
Imaginative play is a wonderful way for your preschooler to develop the brain. This type of play encourages your child to imagine being in different situations, and acting out various ideas. This type of activity helps to reinforce neural connections made during school. Your child can create adventures with parents, siblings or peers. During this play time your child practices language skills, learns about setting rules and limitations, and develops an understanding of empathy, all of which are valuable life skills that help build the foundation for healthy future interactions with others.
Nursery rhymes are a good way to aid brain development. Keep your child interested by acting out the story, and being as expressive as possible. Studies have shown that being able to clearly hear and identify rhyming words and sounds is essential for developing reading skills. Let your child dance to a song, sing-a-long, or even dress up as different characters. This will develop healthy, creative self expression.
Reading with your preschooler is one of the best ways to aid brain development. By reading with your child, you are helping to build on and improve language and vocabulary. Make the experience as interactive as possible. This encourages your child to engage with the book and utilize problem-solving and reasoning skills.

During the first few months of life, a child will experience many changes, including physical, emotional and mental. As a child grows and reaches milestones, care and guidance will be required during the process. At Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy Cedar Park ,we provide an infant child care program that allows each child to learn and grow in a safe, secure and loving environment.
Our infant child care program has four essential developmental components:
Combining these components, your child will have the opportunity to grow and achieve important developmental milestones.
Milestones and growth
Milestones are processes your infant can master by a certain age. The age will differ from child to child, so try to be patient and not apply pressure on your child to meet a “deadline”. Depending on your child’s age you should be able to recognize when each milestone has been achieved.
Two months: Your child, although still new to everything, should be able to smile, look and focus on you, and hold the head up when lying on his or her tummy.
Four months: At this stage a child should be able to sit straight if propped up, hold and let go of an object, begin to show memory and recognize your voice.
Seven to nine months: Your child should be able to bounce when supported to stand, begin to pull up to stand, and hold a bottle. A child might bang toys on a table at this stage, and begin to put everything in the mouth.
Reaching a milestone is different for each child. There are useful ways you can help boost a child’s brain development which will aid in achieving each milestone. Patience and understanding are the key ingredients during this growth period. For more in-depth information on your child’s milestones and growth, it is best to consult with your family doctor.

Tracking your child’s development goes beyond periodically checking their height and weight. There are a number of milestones that help a parent gauge whether their child is developing at a generally normal pace. Milestones are just guidelines, but if you are concerned about your child’s developmental rate you should contact your child’s health care professional for advice. Here are a few average milestones for young children:
Your child has completed his or her first year and is crawling and babbling words like “dada” and “mama.” At the age of 12 months, your child should be able to walk with minimal support and say a few simple words.
18 months to 2 years
By the age of 18 months, your child should be able to walk independently. He or she should be drinking from a cup, having discontinued the use of baby bottles. He or she will also be able to form simple phrases and follow basic instructions. He or she should be able to run, jump, explore, and imitate others. Your child should be aware of his or her self and surroundings.
3 to 4 years
All of your child’s baby teeth are in, and he or she has improved fine motor skills, such as holding crayons. He or she may be able to use the potty all the time and should be able to climb and sort things in shapes and colors. He or she should be speaking in sentences, and be able to ask questions. At the age of four, your child should be able to feed self-feed, run, and use the bathroom alone. He or she may starting reading and counting, and should recognize his or her own name.
Your child should have developed their physical and fine motor skills to a much higher level, be able to understand day and night and time, retell a story, take turns, role play, get dressed and make people laugh.

There are many ways to stimulate a child’s brain development, including activities that parents can do at home. A child’s brain grows tremendously within the first five years of life, making it a critical time to stimulate the brain as much as possible. At Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy Of Cedar Park, our nationally accredited child care program includes an effective, research driven brain development program. To continue providing your child with an effective learning environment for brain development at home, we recommend the following:
Use positive discipline
Teaching a child about rules and consequences can help increase brain development. When a child misbehaves, they must learn that they will have to deal with the consequences. Parents need to discuss a child’s misbehavior and explain how to improve the behavior in the future. This also teaches the child to respect you. Do not shout at the child as this creates fear, but rather use positive discipline for better long term results.
Games and puzzles
Games and puzzles increase brain development and enhance social intelligence. Teaching a child how to play different games helps them focus, and learning the rules of the different games will help with memory development. Physical games increase the brain’s motor skills, so be sure to include various types of games to promote overall healthy development.
Learn a new language
Studies show that a child can learn multiple languages more quickly and easily prior to puberty. Learning a second language will double the brain’s process of sequencing and remembering, thus increasing brain development. Learning a second language will also enhance verbal skills and self-esteem.

Finding the right child care facility can be a considerable challenge. Below are some suggestions to assist you in choosing a facility that has your child's best interests at heart.
- Start early: Choosing a child care facility can be stressful and time consuming. Allow yourself at least 6 months to start researching your options. Openings at the best centers in highly populated areas fill up quickly. Enrolling early at a facility that meets your requirements avoids the disappointment of being put on a waiting list.
- Identify your priorities: When choosing a child care facility, make a list of your priorities. Should it be close to your work or home? Do you want a large facility or one that offers more individual attention? Ranking your requirements will assist in you eliminating unsuitable choices.
- Research: Internet research, advice from trusted friends, and referrals from family in the area can assist you in making the best choice. Recommendations from prenatal groups, clinics and mom groups can also help.
- Interview and visit: Conduct a phone interview to access essential information such as class size and rates which will help to prioritize the best child care centers for an on-site visit. Prepare any questions you'd like to ask beforehand such as: How your child's day will be structured and who will be taking care of him/her. Making an onsite visit should provide you all the information you need to make the best decision.
- If you are looking for a great place to relax, clear your mind and think about all your options: why not try a class at Austin Prenatal Yoga? Yoga classes have considerable benefits. They help to reduce anxiety, strengthen your body and bond with your infant.
